Our son studied in Mont Ivy for nearly 4 years from 2019 to 2023. We would strongly recommend Mont Ivy, few things that we like about Mont Ivy are: Pedagogy: As parents, we were particular that our son should not be rote learning. We wanted our son to understand the concepts and enjoy the learning process. We wanted him to have holistic development in sports, arts, music as well. Mont Ivy follows the Montessori approach and they focus/emphasis on learning through activities as well as developing the individuality of the child. Apart from the regular curriculum they have Music, Arts classes and daily Sports sessions (since Nov 22). Teachers/Support staff: We found the teachers to be well qualified and paying close attention to our son's progress in class. This was evident during the PTA where they used to list the strengths/areas of improvement of our son in detail. They were always open to our suggestions/queries we had and always addressed them promptly. Our son loved the 'Aunties' (Teachers) and he was very fond of Chitra/Sirisha/Veena/Lakshmi aunties during his stint in Mont ivy. He always used to be excited about his classes and used to share his learnings from the class enthusiastically. Field visits: Our son was taken for regular field visits. Some of the places that he visited were – post office, nearby farm, bakery etc. All of us liked this way of learning by giving him real world experiences rather than learning from the book or videos. Security & Cleanliness: Premises and toys were always maintained clean. There are security cameras to ensure that there are no blind spots. Children are not left unattended without supervision of the teacher or helper aunties. We also used to get automated text messages when our son entered and left the school. We always felt safe leaving our son at Mont Ivy. Day care & Extra curricular activity: Mont Ivy has day care facilities after school. Also there are options to take additional paid classes like Key board and Chess, which our son had enrolled in. Classes were quite good and he picked up these quite well. Management: Last but not the least, the duo of Aparna and Paras are behind this successful establishment. Aparna is passionate and dedicated to do what is best for the kids. Aparna is always accessible and she is open/receptive to our concerns and addresses them at the earliest. If there is something that needs to be added for the improvement of the kid, she communicates the same in a transparent and professional way. We liked this aspect of Aparna, where she puts the well being and development of the kids paramount and helps us understand what is beneficial in the long run. I would strongly recommend interested parents to visit Mont Ivy and have a discussion with Aparna.
