When we started to search for preschool for our son, it was going to be his second school because we had to relocate within Bangalore. I didn't knew exactly what I wanted, but I knew what kind of school will NOT suit my child. And after visiting a few schools in and around our new home, we came across Mont Ivy. Their reviews and website piqued my curiosity and after visiting their facility and having detailed discussion with Aparna about their pedagogy we were sure that this is something we were looking for our kid. The school facility is very warm and open, spacious and well-lit. It is very well maintained and kid-friendly. Mont Ivy is a very progressive and open-ended growing place for kids. Montessori method is the most natural or non-taxing way of developing child's awareness and curiosity. Aparna and other aunties know what they are doing and are very confident, firm yet gentle when handling kids. The methodologies followed at Mont Ivy are very effective and forms solid foundation for kids. They run some very open-ended programs for kids like guidance from an author to write stories, kitchen gardening, Young Author program. They even have dramatics, guitar, chess classes going on in their school (pre-pandemic days). Reading programs and book library and show-and-tell activity makes kids much ready not only for interviews at grade schools, but give them courage to handle spotlight confidently. The best part is this journey is very individualistic and matches your kids pace and aims to bring out best in him/her. We as parents are very much satisfied to have enrolled our son in Mont Ivy and they did a fabulous job in grooming his foundation, curiosity and reading skills. He is very fond and proud of his school and Aparna aunty. They will make parents partners in this endeavor and time-to-time give feedback and take suggestions. I found Aparna who will hear your concerns and address them. She is very keen about child's overall development and pays attention to his/her behavior equally. Mont Ivy is very true to its spirit of Montessori methodology and it is truly an exceptional program.
